LINKS
Here are some addresses that you may find of use or interest.ASCAP-The American Society of Composers, Authors, and Performers.
If you are looking for information about licensing and
copyright, this should be one of your first stops. The ASCAP database is easily searchable and contains a wealth of copyright and performer information. If you are an arranger, ASCAP (or the next entry, BMI) may be of great help in locating the copyright holder of any song that you have arranged.

BMI-Broadcast Music, Inc.
Another major source for performance and copyright
information. Like ASCAP, their site is easily searchable and contains a wealth of information.

The Library of Congress Online Catalog
Although the catalog is sometimes too large to be of practical use, it is another place to look for copyright information. Be very precise in your search terms, unless you have a lot of time to do some digging.

RealPlayer
Many sites encode their audio and video content in the Real format and you need to have RealPlayer to access this content. When configured correctly, RealPlayer can be used just for Real format content, but it can also handle most any audio or video stream, including Windows Media. Best of all, it is free!

MP3
I'm afraid I'm a bit old fashioned in that I only play MP3s on my computer and I tend to use a separate player to handle the task, rather than an all-in-one like Real Player. QCD Player does the MP3 job quite well and runs quite unobtrusively in the background while I work. The basic version is free.

Barry's Collectibles
Although this site has nothing to do with music, Barry is a close friend, likes music a bunch, and we designed his web site. If you are looking for Hallmark ornaments, or Beanie Babies, drop on by.
